TIPS NEO DISCO PRODUCERS

Post by Eyeri-Merino »

Hey Family!

I Posted a new topic to talk about tips on Neo Disco Music,
I have a question....

HOW DO YOU DO TO CLEAN YOUR SAMPLES?

For example, I have most of my songs on Soundcloud,
having songs with samples on Spotify could cause problems.

Adieu!

Hi,

I am afraid I did not exactly understand your question.

If you don't want your disco track to be pulled out of Soundcloud because of copyright infringment due to the sample you use, I think you can simply pitch up/down the original sample.

Otherwise if you want your sample-based track to be on Spotify - and get profit of it - you need to "clear" the sample, which means "buying" the right to use that sample from the original author of the song - who can ask you a percentage of the benefits you will make, for instance.

Hope that helps !

Of course,
but what is your way to get to clean it?
How do you contact whoever has the rights to the sample?

Honestly I am not a specialist on that, I think the best way to do so is to contact one of the right owners of the track you sample, especially the label it was signed on I guess
